Nice hotel, spacious rooms, dogs...
Liked: Room: the room was spacious and the bathroom very clean. The pictures matched the room 100%.Staff: the staff was very helpful and friendly. Anything we asked for they went out of their way to accommodate (be it some ice, glasses or cutlery for the room.)Parking: while it says parking is first come first served, there's enough parking that even over Christmas Day Lunchtime we didn't have to worry about finding a spot outside. We didn't use the facilities as the opening times were shortened over the christmas time.
Disliked: Breakfast - Do NOT book this here: The food was not up to the standard of the hotel. Everything fried was seeping of oil, to the extend you'd push through a hashbrown and a puddle of oil seeped out. The only edible things were the ones unfried. The variety was alright, but having half of a menu not edible due to the poor preparation is a real bummer. We passed on our final day's booked breakfast and went to one of the cities cafe's instead. Room: There was no ventilation in the bathroom, meaning the moisture just sticks in the room. Small amounts of mold was all around the windows which is to be expected when there is no proper ventilation. Dog-friendly? More like tolerating: There are no real accommodations made for people with dogs. If a hotel allows dogs, there should be an area where people can eat at a proper table and not just a coffee table that barely reached our knees sitting, in the main traffic area opposite of the reception as well. It also meant walking a long way to the breakfast area. We weren't able to go to the bar or the restaurant because of our dog. While they brought drinks out, again, eating at a tiny coffee table is nothing I pay for when going to a hotel that "welcomes" dogs. A lot of room to do better.

Liked: Most comfortable hotel we have been to.Was clean, spacious, comfortable bed and a big bathroom. The staff was great and thoughtful. The breakfast and the meal from the bar at the evening were delicious. There was a pianist in the evening. Beautiful place in a great location.Loved it very much.
