Nice but not the epitome...

Liked: Nice hotel, comfy bed, the view from the pool is amazing. Breakfast brought to your room is a nice touchReally like the climate control in the room. I like to be in cool spaces so this was lovely. The bathroom is quite big and the large rainfall shower is nice
Disliked: I was charged a £100 deposit on arrival (for the mibibar or stolen towels) that I wasn't told about before my stay. I received three messages from the hotel prior to my stay and wasn't told about this. I paid slightly more for a larger room, this seemed to have been forgotten as judging by the pictures I had the smallest room available I asked for a quiet room, I was placed next to what seemed to be the cleaners stock room, very loud chatting on the first day and the following day from waking up until I left to check out there was a very loud vacuum cleaner type noise that was annoyingly loud from the bedroom but incredibly loud when in the corridor. I was charged £5 more than quoted for both of my room service orders. This was amended when I checked out as I brought it up, however we will see how much of my deposit I get back.The pool is tiny and quite popular, its really more of a large jacuzzi. My two visits were at 8pm and 8am (on a weekday). A few other people in the evening but during my morning visit it was at capacity. Breakfast was cold when it arrived to my room, the bacon was overcooked hard and cold. The orange juice isnt fresh, the scrambled eggs were really good but not enough to make it worth £20 (or £25 with the added fee I wasn't told about) i did order some pastries but they didn't make it to the room so I can't review those.It's not the epitome of luxury, some worn old areas of furniture and the carpet, the bath was kind of yellowed and not shiny. I think i would stay here again but only for the right price but not if I was looking for top luxury.
