Liked: This has quickly become our favorite place to stay when visiting Vermont. The staff, location, accommodations, and food are all excellent. The Taconic feels like a home away from home and we're looking forward to planning our next visit.

Needs to step it up...

Liked: If you’re looking for a place that feels like you are in quaint New England, this is it.
Disliked: It feels like a few things could be updated or a little cleaner, it is too stuffy and stark for my taste, but if you’re looking for a luxurious New England vibe then this is for you

Liked: Location very good. Staff excellent. Copper Grouse was good, but a bit pricey
Disliked: I didn't like the "resort fee." Kept looking for the resort but couldn't find it

Liked: It’s beautiful, cozy, so well done.
Disliked: A lot of dog poop on the grounds. People were driving through it and stepping in it.

Disliked: No one offered to help me with my stuff to the room. I had an entire cart full of belongings.
