I could say it was a bit pricy, but considering that this is Manhattan it should go without saying that any decent hotel will be expensive, so I will not count that as a negative point. Among the positive points: it is in a great location, the room was very clean, the beds were extremely comfortable, the staff was friendly (so much so that the bellman practically grabbed the luggage cart out of my hands when he saw me starting to push it, because he wanted to help me with it...of course, I'm sure the fact that me doing it myself meant that he wouldn't get a tip had nothing to do with it - ha, ha!). I can't think of anything negative to say, and I would definitely recommend this hotel.

I loved this hotel and the perfect location - it was to everything that we wanted to do in New York City for the weekend. Staff were very attentive and Larry was wonderful at making suggestions for restaurants nd tours. Would come back again in a heart beat.

Disliked: First night the shower just took quite a bit of time to heat up.

Liked: Location was perfect.Free coffee and tea before 9 amThe lobby is very pretty.People at the door were really nice.
Disliked: We stayed in a room at first it smelled of mold and they were flies in the shower. Awful...We did not have time to ask to reception the first day and the next morning so we still had to do one night there (one of the person we were with has asthma she had a really bad night).When we asked the next day after our tour, we were able to change room and it was different. There was no smell.However the rooms are not really clean: there were hairs on the wall. Also there were a few technical issues: the toilet paper dispenser is broken, there was a leak under the bathroom sink.Staff at the reception was rude, especially for check-in. They charge the guarantee but explained so bad that it was not clear at all.I stayed in five stars hotels before and this is definitely not one.

Disliked: The room was quite small, and the bathroom is not very sound proof as I can hear the next door when they talk in the bathroom and also when they use their bathroom! Our room had this weird smell which I can't describe when you just entered.

Liked: We liked the warm welcome. Big room with enough space for all our luggage and to walk around still. Comfortable beds. Great bathroom amenities. I loved the smell of the soap. The hotel has a great location, close to Time square and Broadway. Close to subway. Great lobby area, seating, little coffee shop and free wine in the afternoon.
Disliked: There could be more space in the wardrobe to put clothes. We were living out of the suitcase for 5 days.
