Liked: The staff was friendly, helpful, and professional. The hotel's location in San Francisco's Japantown is exceptional. (We all need to explain why we are not living in SF.) The wi-fi was fast and free throughout the hotel. The rooms are clean and well-provisioned.
Disliked: My routine was to have the hotel's excellent coffee, which was located in the lobby, every morning. I drank my coffee at a hotel table in the lobby while reading the New York Times on my laptop. However, the piped-in background music was way too loud. Furthermore, the music played was rap or other tunes inappropriate to morning tranquility.Also, the hotel facilities themselves are showing their age--the management needs to refurbish the facilities, perhaps floor by floor.
