Liked: Beautiful place for a relaxing break. Our room was a bit cool but we were given a heater. Bed really comfortable and room gorgeous. It is very quiet at night so we slept very well. Meals were excellent and all the staff were very helpful and friendly. Any problems were dealt with straight away. The building and surroundings are amazing. We would definitely visit again.

Disliked: Long queues for breakfast and felt that paying extra for the thermal suite wasn’t necessary as facilities limited. But very nice spa area

Birthday break away

Liked: The Family suite was beautifully decorated and the bathroom too. It was clean and the beds were very comfortable. We dined in the Douglas Hyde restaurant and the staff were exceptional and attentive, I loved the personal touch from the chef who sent out a Happy birthday plate with some chocolates for my son. We ordered breakfast in the bedroom which the kids requested and it was a fabulous spread with great choice to suit all tastes.The grounds were beautiful and a great place for walking and easily accessible to neighbouring towns like Sligo where we spent an evening ice skating. Lastly my children were so impressed with the Christmas decorations overall a great experience and we will definitely be making a return trip.

Liked: It's a nice hotel in a great location. Staff are friendly, helpful and professional. Food is of a good standard.
Disliked: Room was cold, 14.5 degrees. Heating had no effect, just blowing cold air.Staff provided heaters which warmed the room up eventually, but it shouldn't be the job of a guest in a luxury hotel to organise the heating of the room. They knew we were arriving, the room should have been comfortable.We have stayed in Kilronan Castle several times and we eat there quite often., But usually we stay there in summertime when heating isn't an issue. The last time we stayed in the hotel in wintertime, the room was also very cold.They can do better, and they should.i

Liked: Beautiful place, very cozy and relaxing. Spotlessly clean rooms, comfortable beds. All staff very professional and helpful. 10 out of 10! Very hard to leave this amazing place. We will be back. Thank you
