Liked: The hostel is very well located. You can do everything on foot and it's close to the main tourist sites. The establishment is also very pleasant and friendly.
Disliked: Maybe there weren't enough showers and toilets for the number of people in my corridor

Valid hostel in the Old...

Liked: Nice environment and convenient location in the Old Town. The bar and the pool make it a suitable place to meet fellow travellers.
Disliked: The top bunk beds are quite high. With a thick mattress, the bed frames feel short and thus give the sense of falling down during the sleep. I would recommend extra security measures.

Only good if you’re planning...

Liked: The room was clean. The staff were kind. The bar was thriving at night.
Disliked: Only 1 pillow provided which made sleeping really hard.The showers were atrocious. Blocked drains. Pubes. Puddles outside the shower tray. No hooks, instead more like door knobs (unpractical for hanging clothes)Female toilets were out of order with a mixed bathroom as the only option. I didn’t sleep too bad but my partner had very poor sleep.

Liked: Great for a group, clean bathrooms, good facilities, they let us check in early too. Breakfast was not very impressive (pay for breakfast elsewhere in Edinburgh) and the rooms were not very sound proof and people were partying til late. But the beds are comfy and the rooms spacious
