Liked: the food was great and the cottage suite was pretty
Disliked: it would be nice if the hot tub had a shelter over the top for winter time, was still lovely

Good
Liked: Breakfast was mediocre. A limited buffet with no pastries. We were offered toast on day 1 but none the following day.
Disliked: Unfortunately our room was cold on arrival. The staff immediately found us another heater though and were very helpful. The room lacked attention to detail both in cleanliness and maintenance. The restaurant definitely lacked any atmosphere and a limited menu. Very little choice for a vegetarian , especially staying 2 nights.

Liked: Very friendly staff, great accommodation.
Disliked: The thermostat in the room- we were unable to turn the temperature down and so the room was very hot.

A perfect place to stay...
Liked: The Cottage Suites are very spacious and comfortable ideal for relaxing in during the day. The Restaurant Menu offered a good selection and the staff were friendly and attentive .We also used the lounge in the main house for quiet reading An ideal “retreat” between Christmas and New Year to recharge
Disliked: The Bar area above the Restaurant is a little soulless and could be made more welcoming with some changes to furnishings and layout

Beautiful hotel, grounds and a...
Liked: Had a very nice full English breakfast good quality and offered refills on tea and coffee. Lovely location surrounded by the Exmoor countryside. The grange is a beautiful building. We had a spacious room which was very clean we even had a fully decorated Christmas tree in the room. Staff very friendly and efficient will return again.
Disliked: Just be aware you will need a car to get about unless you plan to use the hotel as a base for walking Exmoor or surrounding countryside
