Liked: Food good but why no fruit or cereal before the cooked food? Some people do not eat cooked breakfast so a cereal and pastries choice would be better.
Disliked: Evening meal was disappointing. Paying extra for bread to dip into a baked Camembert was ridiculous especially as other bread was then brought to the table! Why mess with Christmas dinner? Curried vegetables don’t go with turkey! Only sprouts as fresh veg isn’t good enough. The rest were roasted and hard.

Fabulous stay

Liked: It was out of the way but best night to the centre of Derby to get a cab there and back (the hotel use a fab company via a we code) The manager was friendly and helpful and bar staff too

Liked: Warm comfortable environment with spacious rooms and common areas that felt welcoming and are decorated nicely with the style of house
Disliked: Nothing really the main road is close by but did not affect our stay at all

A very enjoyable stay.

Liked: Nice building, with attractive communal areas.Rooms very attractive and bathrooms good - powerful shower.We had dinner in the restaurant which was really nice and good value.Bar staff good and we had a great Kedleston G&T.Lovely breakfast - cooked to order.Staff were lovely, very helpful and friendly.
Disliked: The earliest breakfast was not until 8.30am,which is a bit late if there for business. This was compounded by snow issues which mean it was even later, but appreciate this was not a normall situation.I had a housekeeping issue, but it was dealt with promptly when mentioned.
