Hotel Description
Located in the Historic District of Kalispell and the heart of downtown. Walking distance to amazing eateries breweries a winery coffee shops bakeries antiques and other amazing stores. Offering a continental breakfast of items made in house by the amazing staff. The lobby has been beautifully renovated in cooperation with the Kalispell Historical Society and opened up to it's grand beginnings of 1912. Offering lots of beautiful wood furniture comfortable seating to enjoy and surrounded by the owners personal art collection of authentic Native American pieces and Native American inspired paintings and sculptures. There are even historic black and white photos of the areas Indigenous tribes from the late 1800's. A 24-hour reception is available in the newly expanded Main entrance. Where you will also find after 3pm everyday our homemade fresh baked cookies and popcorn. There is a history museum art museum and a beautiful historic mansion in walking distance. Skiing in Whitefish 22 miles away Flathead lake about 10 miles away several Golf Courses close by and Glacier Park is about 40 mins away.

Liked: Rooms were nice. Right downtown. Local to all the shops. Kind staff. Delicious breakfast and awesome popcorn and cookies! Such a nice treat! Would stay here again and again!

Excellent value in this historic...

Liked: Love the Grand Hotel Kalispell! It is right on the main street of the cute town of Kalispell, and the huge lobby and breakfast area look exactly like they would have in 1912, when in fact the hotel opened. Can't compliment the super friendly, helpful staff enough! And we enjoyed the popcorn and cookie snacks they put out each afternoon. Breakfast was great - so nice that it wasn't the usual continental breakfast served at so many other hotels - the beautiful buffet featured homemade dishes such as quiches and fresh breads, which we loved. Our room was very big, nicely appointed, quiet, with a roomy bathroom and sitting area. We just loved the Grand Hotel Kalispell and hope to return one day.It was a great location from which to explore not only Kalispell, but Glacier National Park, about minutes away, the cute town of Whitefish, 20 minutes away (the Tuesday evening Farmer's Market is a load of fun!) and area attractions such as the wonderful Brash Rodeo in Columbia Falls, 30 minutes away, and local attractions such as the amazing Conrad Mansion. That was really incredible. The degree of curation and detail and the sheer number of artifacts is beyond belief. A must do!And Kalispell has just about every possible shopping option known to mankind ! We enjoyed spending time at Cabela's and Lowe's and Walmart!
Disliked: Nothing - we loved it all.
