Excellent stay for a week,...

Liked: Excellent base for a week of travelling to Lake Karapiro for a rowing regatta. The room was comfortable and spacious, and the amenities at the hotel (pool, gym, restaurant) were good enough to provide everything that was needed. It is a motel in layout (ability to park outside your room, and predominantly single level), but the rooms are like hotel rooms. Although on a major road and by an airport, this was a very quiet premises and we both slept really well.
Disliked: This is an excellent location for Hamilton Airport and for Mystery Creek. It's close to the Waikato Expressway, and we found that it was easy and quick to get to Leamington, Cambridge and Lake Karapiro. However, there are no other facilities around the hotel, so you need to pick up things like food and other supplies if you are staying for a prolonged period.

Liked: A surprisingly perfect family spot!We loved our stay at the airport hotel; such a unique destination for a family getaway. It was especially fun with our toddler who loved watching the planes, yet it was surprisingly quiet (yay!). The room was spotless, and having fresh milk in the fridge was such a nice touch. The on-site restaurant made everything super convenient. Would definitely recommend for families looking for something a bit different!
