Liked: Great location, great staff and great food.
Disliked: Whilst the whole property is intentionally (classically) dated…I’m not sure that the facilities within the bedrooms need to be as tired as they are.Elements are looking a little tired, however, this could easily be solved by the management with a bit of money spent, and a deep clean.

Very comfortable and pleasant stay...

Liked: Very quiet location. Good cooked breakfast menu Carolina was an especially helpful member of staff
Disliked: Had to chase for restock of coffee and milk, and replenishing mini bar in 2nd day . Our suite was lovely but in New House meaning to get to dinner or breakfast you had to go outside in bad weather. You can ask reception for an umbrella but by then it’s raining so might be an idea to put one in the rooms in New House. Excellent table service in the bar on our first night but on the second busier night the poor young bartender( who’d only worked there for a month) was completely overwhelmed by taking orders and making drinks for the bar and restaurant. We had to wait 20 mins from placing our order to get our drinks and others cancelled their orders as they had to go into dinner. Carolina was very apologetic on our check out and dealt with us very considerately so we would definitely return .

If bed was usual standard...

Liked: Love this quaint property, very friendly, attentive staff. Room we stayed in was large, lots of amenities,with an outside sitting area too. Nice restaurant, excellent breakfast and evening meal.
Disliked: Unfortunately the bed in room dipped quite badly to one side and every time you turned during the night it squeaked so woke me up, which was not ideal!
