Some rooms have an exclusive terrace or garden perfect for dining al fresco. Guests can enjoy seasonal cuisine made with fresh local produce at the hotel's award-winning restaurant. The restaurant also includes a bright and airy summer terrace. Jesmond Dene House offers a stylish bar and lounge area serving a simple light menu in addition to fresh coffee and a wide selection of wines. Please note that we a Fern Dining Room open Wednesday - Sunday The hotel is set within the leafy valley and public park of Jesmond Dene which includes its own petting zoo. Ilford Road Underground Metro Station is less than 10 minutes' walk away and offers regular convenient access to Newcastle's center. Our bedrooms are split across three floors in the main house; two floors of which are accessible via a elevator our third floor bedrooms are within the eves and have stairs access. The West Wing bedrooms are located above The Great Hall and are accessible via stairs. The New House is home to some Deluxe bedrooms and our Junior Suites with rooms on the Ground floor and first floor which is accessed by stairs.

Lovely but room for improvement.

Liked: The hotel itself is beautiful, the staff are lovely, although I was put in a side building with construction outside, so it made the experience less enjoyable than I was expecting. The room didn’t look the same as online/ on Booking.com, so that was also a disappointment in terms of the bathroom and layout of the bedroom. I think it should be known that you’re not in the main house when booking, as the separate building is not as beautiful and charming as the main period property. I did get a free early check-in, when I mentioned this, but I had to ask for it rather than it being offered complimentary. Also, I ordered a bottle of champagne to be ready in my room and it didn’t arrive for over an hour. They also didn’t seem to be aware that I had pre-arranged via email, for a very early check-in and the champagne- communication could be improved.
