Liked: Jan Luyken Hotel exceeded my expectations, again. This was my second stay at the hotel, the last being in August 2024. It’s definitely the kind of place you want to return to — both for the comfort it offers and the way it makes you feel like a part of Amsterdam, not just a visitor.

Liked: Fabulous location and exquisitely decorated and furnished space
Disliked: Extremely disengaged staff eg mess at the tables at breakfast, relayed this to the peson on front desk "I can't leave the desk" and no attempt to ask anothe rmember of staff to address this.New system for checking in that noone seemed to know how to work. Walked into reception on Sunday to receptionist on hands-free phone receiving advice on how to work functionality which everyone else could hear.Breakfast so busy at all times that nowhere to sit in such a small space and had to take food to the room.

Liked: Everything. Beautiful property, quiet location, excellent staff, wonderful breakfast, social free happy hour with yummy nibbles, clean and comfortable rooms.

Really lovely hotel.

Liked: Location was fantastic.. in a quiet street but very close to the museums . All food and drink is complementary during your stay here. Excellent value . Comfortable, clean and friendly staff too.
Disliked: The shower over the bath perhaps, but not a huge problem
