Unacceptable deposit at check in

Liked: The room was very convenient for me. Everything was clean and acceptable but the television remote did not work. I took it to the desk and he brought in a new one and that 1 did not work either so we gave up on trying to watch TV
Disliked: I was told at Check-in it was mandatory to put down $100 non-refundable deposit on top of the $107 I paid for the room, there was nowhere else to stay so I had no choice but to pay I feel like I have been scammed. If this is the way that this Jamieson Inn operates I would not advise it for anyone to stay there. I have never been told to put a deposit down on a room. I do a lot of traveling and this was not acceptable

Liked: We didn’t stay. We booked the room & went to a concert. We was very uncomfortable about staying, looked like the people around wasn’t safe to be around. The office was already closed, so we just left the key in the room & left
Disliked: The bathroom floor was wet & the bed looked like someone had already slept in it. I did ask for a couple of pillows, because those looked dirty & there wasn’t but 3 small pillows on a kink bed
