Liked: Other than a great location for our purposes, we were comfortable and politely attended to…..
Disliked: Not a complaint but we prefer pillows that are not quite as lofty and firm. Wife loved the sheets!

The James Place Inn is...

Liked: The property has that vintage New England charm with an outside deck and firepit. It is very accessible to Freeport. You can quickly enjoy the shops and restaurants. In the summer you can catch LL Bean’s summer concert series which we did. Very cool.
Disliked: No negative comments. Love the place.

A lovely stay in a...

Liked: The breakfast was unique and delicious. There was plenty of food and hot coffee. The location was perfect. We walked into town easily. We found lots of shopping, great restaurants and breweries. We liked the shared refrigerator and the glass bottles of water.
Disliked: The rooms and bathrooms were on the smaller side but we didn’t really mind because we were mostly there to sleep. I would recommend that chair cushions are offered for breakfast in the outside patio. Also we didn’t realize that the letters in the bedroom doors were the first letter of the names of the rooms (rose, yellow, etc.) A couple of times people started to enter the wrong rooms. Maybe having the whole room name in the door would be helpful.
