Liked: Interesting old hotel in a sweet little colonial town
Disliked: NO BREAKFAST as stated on their own website as well as on booking.com. Hot & cold water plumbed backwards. No place to plug in coffee maker.

Comfortabe, good value even without...

Liked: Historical property and nicely remodeled
Disliked: Breakfast was not provided despite their advertising it as being included. There is a nice breakfast place five buildings away. They seemed to know that their ads were wrong but they didn’t seem to know how to remedy the misinformation.

Superb

Liked: clean and tidy.
Disliked: bed was to firm.

Unique hotel in an old...

Liked: It's in an old building that was converted to an inn in the 1800's. The rooms and bathrooms have all been updated.
Disliked: There isn't an elevator

Exceptional

Very poor

Disliked: We paid the rooms with breakfast included but there was no breakfast in the hotel. The staff did not care about that!

Liked: Very nice historic hotel! We were visiting a relative who lives in Mercersburg so we were happy that the James Buchanan Hotel was in town.
Disliked: The Main Street in Hagerstown is a little noisy, but we had a room towards the back of the hotel which really helped.

Exceptional

Liked: Beautiful neighborhood and accommodations! The history of the hotel was very interesting.
Disliked: Although listing noted breakfast... There was no breakfast.And shower never got hot . But... Beaufort hotel and surrounding area.
