Pure indulgence in a regal...

Liked: From the initial welcome to departure, we were treated like royalty. Lovely warm service, excellent food quality and choice and sumptuous surroundings. What's not to like. Pure indulgence.
Disliked: Apart from the very noisy bedsheets, we loved everything.

Bit underwhelming really

Liked: Beautiful castle on stunning grounds.
Disliked: Very expensive. Not the grandest castle we stayed in. Food and alcohol extremely expensive.

An experience, great location, do...

Liked: Best part was Charles and the shooting! An experience this place. Love the location to nature, great hikes.
Disliked: It is a castle so it is old... clearly... a wee bit noisy at night, I had jet lag so it didn't matter.

Liked: The food was exquisite and the staff made it feel like a home-from-home. The whole place, including our room was stunning. I can't wait to visit again.

Beautiful Castle. Not food friendly...

Liked: Stunningly beautiful grounds and castle.
Disliked: We wish one of the castle rooms were available. We stayed in one of the “small walled garden rooms” becaude they were the only rooms available. They have lovely bathrooms with a club-footed tub and a two person shower, but the rooms are not in the castle but in the converted barn. You can walk to the castle, and they offer more privacy, but we missed out on all the beautiful rooms in the castle. Also, dinner costs are extra for the rooms; and the “small walled garden rooms” cost a bit more than the least expensive “small double rooms” in the castle, which look like nicer rooms, although we believe their bathrooms aren’t as nice as the new ones in the “small garden rooms.” In addition, I can guarantee that anyone with children won’t be happy with the meals. (Most couples we saw were without children - which makes sense).They are seriously bougie meals, and there were no options for children; which meant the adults couldn’t stay for the dinner we were hoping to experience.
