Good would definitely visit again
Liked: It was really nice friendly stuff very comfortable nice bed

As a one night stay...
Liked: Staff we excellent. Food in the restaurant was really good.
Disliked: rooms and general décor upstairs are at best tired. Ill fitting doors , mastic liberally everywhere in the bathroom which wa sclearly quite old and pretty dirty. Poorly fitted carpets and peeling dirty wallpaper. Sink that didn't drain.

Nice hotel staff need training

Disliked: When I arrived I was asked to show identification which wasn’t mentioned when I booked I had my wallet with me with my cash cards and a letter with my address I was asked to stand against the wall while they took a photo of me also on the morning I was stood on the steps were I was told by a member of staff to go away from the premises until I explained I was in one of the rooms very unprofessional staff

Liked: The staff were friendly and location was good.
Disliked: I recently attended the Widows Sons MBA Annual Conference and had a highly disappointing experience with this hotel. When booking my room, I was supposed to receive a discounted rate, but when I called the hotel on 05/02/25, I was quoted £200 per night. Due to this, I booked through this platform, but I also booked an additional night directly with the hotel for Friday at £190.Upon arrival, I learned from the event organizers that the actual conference rate should have been £75 per night. This meant I ended up paying £390—more than double what I should have. This overcharge was extremely frustrating, and I received no resolution from the hotel.Adding to the disappointment, the room quality was far below standard, and the breakfast was poor. This alone would have made my stay unpleasant, but the situation worsened when the conference, originally planned for the hotel's large downstairs room, was moved to a much smaller, inadequate space. We were told the original room had been given to a wedding party, leaving 90 attendees cramped and uncomfortable.Overall, this experience was unacceptable. Between the pricing issues, subpar accommodations, and poor event management, I will not be staying here again and certainly wouldn’t recommend it to others.
