Nice gateway in the city

Liked: The location was great, the room was tidy and clean. Toiletries were on the highest standard, very comfortable bed.
Disliked: I expected more from this trip, e.g. the pool was extremely cold and the sauna was not hot enough (infra red). The breakfast could have been richer.

Liked: Concierge desk was exceptional and deserves a salute. Their attention to detail and anticipation of what was required was almost extra sensory.I have seen a lot of Concierge desks in this world; to discover this in NZ was a blast and a pleasure.Front of house and room service was also very good.
Disliked: Management must have been reselecting or training waitstaff. Some were very good and perceptive; others were not on the pace. For example, at breakfast, why would one receive the coffee order 3 minutes after being seated? Some may like it that way; some prefer coffee at the end. The option should be provided.After having refreshments in the lobby lounge, I went to the Bar to check the charges to my room; stood separate from the serving area, but obvious. No staff wished to attend to me; too intent on serving.Departed for my room and accosted, pleasantly, on my way to the lift. All settled, but should not have happened.
