Perfect stay in Marseille

Liked: The location was excellent
Disliked: The gym was horrible and they never fixed the heater issue in our rooms. It was blazing hot. I called several times and they did not repair the issue

Liked: It was beautiful from the outside, great location . Room service food was excellent. Cute lawn and rose garden in front was perfect for walking my dog
Disliked: The rug in my room had large red brown stains and they didn’t tell me about the pet fee at check in. Rooms felt impersonal and corporate. Shower didn’t look clean.

Liked: Centrally located. The views from the restaurant on the 1st floor were breathtaking. The quality of the food was excellent - kudos to the chef! The rooms were top notch. The building; beautifully kept and the architecture is amazing.
Disliked: As we were checking out on the 27th December around 11am, we asked the lady at the reception for a breakdown of the charges as we felt it didn’t align with what was agreed on via booking.com … she proceeded to lecture us on her 8 years of experience in the hotel industry and told us the hotel does not disclose its pricing?! The ridiculousness of that whole interaction had us baffled. It is recommend that she receives training on the basics of customer service and humility please. The staff at the front end of restaurant were flustered and disorganised when we sat down for lunch on the 26th - but I must admit they were trying hard, despite being understaffed and stretched. The chef however saved the day. we were woken up by the room cleaning staff despite not having hung up the room cleaning sign on 2 occasions. The 2nd morning, the lady opened the door and walked right in - that’s an invasion of our privacy - not ok.
