Boasting an enviable location in the Edinburgh city center the historic and chic InterContinental Edinburgh The George is close to Edinburgh Castle Princes Street Gardens and Holyrood Palace. It has elegant rooms conference and meeting rooms and a gym. Free high-speed WiFi is available throughout the hotel. This Grade II listed building with its distinctive facade was built in 1775 and has undergone a great refurbishment project transforming the majority of the bedrooms and public areas. The architecturally-designed interior has created a sense of restored grandeur with simple detailing and the use of natural materials. Very pleasant hotel in excellent...

Liked: Food excellent- beef bar especially goodCentral location made it easy to get everywhere
Disliked: Bathroom very cold until we worked out how to turn the towel rail on

Wonderful hotel

Liked: The staff was wonderful especially Jonathon the door man! Wonderful hotel and stay there! Perfect location as it was close to everything
Disliked: The beds in our room was on rollers was annoying as it move when I would rollover. It didn't appear to have locks on them so not to roll
