Excellent hotel, excellent location, excellent...

Liked: We've stayed at The George several times now as it is in the centre of Edinburgh and within easy reach of the train station, the shops and restaurants. This time was to celebrate our friend's 50th birthday and, as they hadn't stayed there before, we decided to make it a bit special for him. Everything was just as before: the room was clean and tidy, tea and coffee making facilities were provided, the bed was very comfortable, and there's an excellent selection for breakfast and all of it is delicious.
Disliked: This is purely a personal thing but I'm a sucker for a cup of Twinings' English Breakfast Tea in the morning. It seems to be a staple in every other hotel we visit but, for some reason, not at The George.
