Great to visit Barcelona

Liked: Great 5* hotel.

Disappointing

Liked: staff in general is friendly.
Disliked: We are supposed to check out by 12:00, but before 11:00, cleaning person already knocked the door twice. That is not good. There are two bottles of water in our room, and there is a note: With complement. So we used the water, then we are charged for 33 Euro. That is not good.

A wonderful retreat in Barcelona!...

Liked: Very nicely appointed, large, clean comfortable rooms in a beautiful hotel with amazing views from the rooftop bar. Was worried about location, but loved proximity to the park and several art museums. Enjoyed the Michelin star restaurant in the hotel too
Disliked: It’s a bit far if you like to walk to the center of town. This is only a minor grump, because it was easy to get to the metro and taxis are abundant and seem to be safe and easy to use (no taxi drivers trying to scam us, and all accepted credit card)

Exceptional

Liked: We were greeted by friendly staff at the front desk and our room was ready early, which we greatly appreciated. The concierge was very helpful in finding a restaurant that suited our needs and the breakfast at the hotel was wondeful. The location was good for us to be able to walk to la rambla and the shopping area. Our only disappointment was that a lot of stores were closed because we were there on a sunday. However, we understand that everyone deserves a day off. We have never stayed at this brand of hotel before and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service. We hope that our stay in Lisbon at the Intercontinental there will be just as positive...thank you

Fantastic experience, we would come...

Liked: Staff was very polite and helpful. Atmosphere was lively. Location was very good just a short taxi ride away from the main city attractions. Would stay here again
Disliked: Everything was really good but we felt the bed was not very comfortable.

Intercontinental used to be one...

Liked: 1. Clean room2. Friendly staff
Disliked: 1. Poor check-in, delayed. Had to follow up with staff several times (no one followed up sincerely)2. Poor laundry service. Asked for an express service at 8:30am, should have been delivered before 5. Did not receive it until later in the night, despite multiple follow ups with different staff.3. Room was very noisy at night, even though it was a suite in an executive floor.4. Some room facilities are quite old (windows, curtains…)5. Toilet floor is very slippery, need to watch out.

Disliked: Wish it was close to La Rambla
