Everything you need in one...

Liked: The champagne suite was huge! It had the kitchen stocked with some snacks and breakfast items! The hot tub room was lovely. Location close to several restaurants within 5-10 minutes walking. Loved the record player once we figured it out lol. The place is dated but it gives the nostalgic vibes that make you remember life before cell phones took over. Having the wine shop right on site was nice and convenient too. Parking was convenient!
Disliked: Maybe guests of the b&b should get a couple taste for free. We didn't love spending $4 for a sip of the wine we ended up getting anyway. The bathroom could use some additional counter space. Recycling bins in the rooms would be a sustainable touch.

excellent location in a peculiar...

Liked: The accommodation is in a beautiful Victorian-style house. All the interiors and amenities are in a vintage style, but everything is very well preserved and functional.Leslie is a very friendly, helpful and cheerful person, which makes the accommodation even better. The location is excellent and there are several food options nearby.I traveled to Dayton solely to visit the United States Air Force Museum.
Disliked: Nothing that really affects the stay or its evaluation, but the outside of the house needs a complete restoration to further improve the experience.

Very good

Liked: The owners were very nice and really helpful.
Disliked: It is an old home and not set up as well as a building designed for use as an inn.

Exceeded Expectations

Liked: Where to begin....We stayed in the Champagne Suite. One would get the impression from the listing that this was a large room or perhaps a room with an adjoining smaller room. This is literally a 2 bedroom apartment. And the second bedroom has actually been transformed into a private spa of sorts with a hot tub! There was a fully stocked kitchen with fresh food and beverages in the fridge as well as additional food items in the cabinet. All of which provided numerous options for breakfast and snacking. It was clean and quiet. We had a designated parking space labeled with our name. The house itself is a charming 2 story brick house dating back to the 1870's. The entire neighborhood consists of historic brick homes dating back to the 1850's on shady tree-lined streets (some still with cobblestones). Great for strolling. The entire neighborhood atmosphere reeks of charm. 1/2 a block over from the house is a small business district. On weekends during the summer that street is blocked for 2 blocks to vehicle traffic-pedestrians only. There are various restaurants/bars with outdoor seating and small businesses which we found very enjoyable. Overall an A+++++ experience.
Disliked: The blocked business district streets cut off the most logical route to the house so that it is necessary to take alternate routes which are complicated by one way streets. However, it worth the trouble!

This is a quaint, old...

Liked: The friendliness of the host was exceptional! She was very helpful and welcoming!
Disliked: I did not expect to have to climb so many stairs to get to the unit, but it’s OK.

It was like staying with...

Liked: I loved the coffee set up and half and half. We appreciated that there were cold drinks and yogurts available in the fridge 24/7. Check-in lady was friendly. The room was neat and clean and the bathroom was very spacious. I like the ease and simplicity of the breakfast offerings. I appreciated the availability of ear plugs, fan, and air conditioner. I like that the decor was not super modern, but that it has been well-kept and neat. It made it feel hospitable and homey.
Disliked: I think bc of the picture accompanying the room reservation online, I was expecting two full beds, so I was surprised when one of our beds was a pull-out couch. I should have read more carefully or asked for clarity. My son just slept on the couch without pulling it out and he slept fine, but I felt sorry for him, haha.

BnB worked well for us...

Liked: Very well kept older property. Plenty of space. Nice woodwork, huge doors. Nice people. Private designated parking. Jacuzzi in the bathroom. Located in interesting part of city. Wine bar.
Disliked: Had to climb stairs to get to and from rooms. 15 to 20 steps. I am 75 with lung and back issues. We did not expect that. We could have asked for first floor rooms. Continental breakfast a little sparse. Need a toaster along with the toaster-oven. Needed a bedside lamp. Shower needs different shower head. One that can be used manually. Dirty throw pillows and need a blanket with the bedspread.
