Liked: The location was perfect for visiting Brandywine Valley and even New Castle was a short drive.
Disliked: The evening staff when we arrived was not very welcoming at all or helpful like the morning staff was. The absence of wine glasses in the room, no extra pillows, laundry bag, luggage rack in the closet.mold on the ceiling which we did report. Breakfast room was nice but the items were not up to par for a property like this. Bread was cheap and stale, and the eggs? eww, not fresh, but powdered I guess, just awful. mediocre coffee at best. And why put pastries out individually wrapped in plastic, that is gas station quality. Isn’t there a local bakery they could buy from?

Liked: We have been coming to this hotel since 2019 and we will be happy to do so in the future.There is simply no better place to stay in the area. Period.The place is just a guarantee. Rooms are bigger than average, personnel friendly, and breakfast richer than practically every other hotel we stayed in.Plus the area bordering Delaware is just wonderful, full of history, being located minutes away from the Winterthur Museum and the Longwood Gardens, both heritage of the DuPont family and both by themselves worth the travel if you are from PA or from out of state. Dine-out opportunities are also incredible.
Disliked: Furniture and decorations may eventually need a major update.Would be nice if restaurant would be open throughout the week.
