Lovely stay with amazing amenities

Liked: I lovely how comfortable to bed was and the fact that tea and coffee was refilled every morning. The staff were very accommodating and kind especially when I lost my key card! The bathroom was also very clean and nice and overall I had a really nice stay. I went to the rooftop bar which overlooked Exeter as the hotel is in a fantastic location in the centre of town
Disliked: I didn't like the fact that the rooms didn't have windows that opened so the room felt a bit stuffy.

Booking error quickly rectified by...

Liked: Amira is professional and keen to please . After not being able to check me in she issued me a drinks voucher and physically ran around to find me a room. She upgraded me to a suite with a balcony which was a credit to her recognising the problem at 9.30 pm ! The suite was large and comfortable with a roll top bath. Good coffee and facilities in the room
Disliked: The hotel seems to have changed management. I echo previous booking mishaps . Previously I stayed and staff were all attentive . This time I arrived and 2 guys in scruffy jumpers loitered behind the desk and didn’t even make eye contact or welcome me . I do t care what people wear but the lack of warmth and effort to welcome me was noticeable. There seem to be a group of them that just hang out there while not officially working ? Maybe they all live there , who knows ?The suites are big but have less of the charm of the smaller rooms . Very sterile . Room was quite cold with the heating set to 19 and couldn’t unlock it . There was a frost so maybe not a problem in usual days . I was very happy to pay 105 for this room . Not sure if pay the actual price . But other guests may prefer bigger size , personally I prefer character . But am no way complaining as this was a brilliant free upgrade and I appreciate so much the effort Amira went to to sort out the weird booking error
