Historic hotel

Liked: Excellent staff,great breakfast with a very comfortable spacious room. Historic hotel with elegant public spaces. Good attention to details. We enjoyed the live music in the cocktail bar.

Liked: Breakfast was good, room was very comfortable, staff were great.
Disliked: The renovations and one lift being out of action meant that I got lost trying to find my room! The hotel is like a maze or a rabbit warren -- very confusing, but I guess fun once you manage to find your way out!

Liked: It was very central and the building itself was beautiful.
Disliked: We encountered an unhelpful general manager called Owen (unsure of the spelling). He appeared not interested in assisting us finding a seat to avail of a drink from the bar. Yes we could see it was full but his attitude was for us to go away and come back later. A lovely lady called Martha swooped in mid conversation with him and whisked us off to the residents lounge and assisted us in getting drinks from the bar at the restaurant. Eoin didn’t once mention this option to us he couldn’t have cared less. So thank you Martha for making us feel valued and actually caring about your guests.
