Disliked: The hotel is very dated. Our room was very dark. The breakfast is rather basic. Overall, very expensive compared to what you get.

Visit to Madrid

Liked: Lovely marble floored hotel which was spotlessly clean. The room was comfortable and breakfast was served on the lower ground floor. It was very near the main shopping street which was brilliant and also the metro.
Disliked: Breakfast although okay was very basic. There was not much choice of cereals or extras like walnuts or raisons. Juices were watery. Nothing really special. The men on reception were obliging but not very friendly and smiley. You felt like you were disturbing them. I noticed there were no women on the reception desk. They did not have much banter and no interest whatsoever in visitors. Not very friendly.

Liked: the location was perfect to explore the city, and easy to get to from the airport, breakfast was very good and our room was a good size very plane but spotless and very comfortable
Disliked: A complementary bottle of water would be a nice touch on arrival in the room
