Room was tired but adequate....

Liked: Location was close to the town centre & railway station
Disliked: Accommodation was adequate for a budget hotel.Rooms were very tired & the carpet was grubby - I would not like to walk bare foot on it!Had to pay 100% deposit for the room upon check in. Receptionist knocked on the door at 10pm on my 2nd night to request payment again via a web link. (My credit card had already been debited for the full amount) I explained they already had payment in full via the deposit & was told that I would not be able to check out due to a technical unless I paid again via my credit card online via a link that they would send me. The whole thing felt like a scam but was given no choice but to pay again....I have now been told it could take up to 30 days to have my deposit refunded! I will avoid Ibis/Accor hotels in future because of this.....

Disliked: No tea and coffee facilities in room. Cups provided in rooms very small. Pillows too soft.

Liked: Great location parking close by.
Disliked: No drink facilities in the room. No bar in the hotel. The staff did not point out there was a coffee machine in the reception area. We discovered the coffee machine as we were leaving.

Liked: Very friendly staff, nice breakfast, memorable exterior of the building. Good bedding, large room. Nice vue.
Disliked: The large room was decorated in black and red, which created a rather gloomy atmosphere, not in the least because wear and tear had taken its toll since the last renovation a considerable time ago. A loose shower in the (outdated, too small) added to the feeling that a little revamping is overdue.
