It's ok as a rest...

Liked: Ibis is a budget hotel, it does not pretend to be anything else. We used it as an overnight rest stop on our journey from Lake Garda back to the Northern European ferry ports. It's good value for money, the room was adequate, evening meal choice was limited but ok and the breakfast was satisfactory with plenty of food on offer. The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful, English was spoken by them and we responded with limited phrases and words. there was no problem accommodating my daughter's pet dog. It's close to the A35 motorway so no issues resuming the north bound journey.
Disliked: I was charged an additional 6 euro for my grandson's breakfast despite declaring on the booking that four persons and a dog were the size of the party.

Liked: Spacious room. Aircondition working good. Very nice friendly staffs. Clean. Comfortable bed. Free parking. Very good location with restaurants around neighbourhood. Nice lobby with some game facility.
Disliked: The room quite old. Not so good soundproof.

Better than what I expected...

Liked: The stay was better than I expected. I like how the hotel has the old-fashioned design (like the hallway to the room) though they decorated the interior with trendy theme. The room was a perfect fit for a single traveler or small-sized couple, but may be too small for a group or family. The AC works and sometimes when it didn't work, you can call the receptionist and they can fix the AC remotely - this happened only once. The room is quiet and even though the hotel sits at a moderately traffic area, I still could sleep well. The staff is very nice too - you could get a cold/hot water refill and you could ask for a bowl to warm up your leftover in a microwave. Their English can be limited but they try their best to help you out. There also a supermarket that is 2 minutes away and the train station (strasbroug routheig) is 5 mins away. There are some of restaurants adjacent to this hotel.
Disliked: Though the room is quiet, I wish the AC could be a little quieter. The AC is cold, but the temperature cannot be adjusted lower than 20'C as it seems be locked. The breakfast could be a little more heartier for the price, but I enjoyed the automated coffee machine. I would suggest an easy self-access for warm water to be put in the room without needing the attendants to fill it up. Lastly is the smell of the stairway because it smells like a Muster Cheese. I love cheese but others may find it disturbing.

The Air condition doesnt work...

Liked: Free parking and quick check in.
Disliked: The Air condition doesnt work and after checking with reception they had a policy of not turning on the AC till 26 May since for them it is still “Winter time” which was absurd considering it was 28 degrees when we stayed. In addition there were no fans provided so good luck staying there in May or April.

I recommend you to find...

Liked: The staff at the reception and in the kitchen. They were very helpful and kind.Breakfast was nice.
Disliked: The toilets are stained. The corridors are almost as bad as a prison.
