Excellent location, fab staff, good...

Liked: Location was amazing, you really couldn't get any better. You can literally see the Gare du Nord from the hotel. We had a corner room which meant we had two balconies which was so much fun and very stereotypical Paris in my mind! It was nicely decorated. Loads of plugs and lights. The bathroom was great, shower was really good pressure and boiling hot. Towels were good. Plenty of cupboard space. For a budget hotel it was good. The lift was really old school, you had to open the door and shut it. There was a lovely reception area downstairs and a nice area for eating and working too. The staff were amazing. We had a great experience at check in and at check out. Best thing is the location. Really, after a long journey or before a long journey, somewhere to just rest your head, it's great. Pillows were comfy and doona was warm.
Disliked: It was pretty pricey. The bed was a bit weird. It was essentially a futon mattress on a wooden plinth on rollers. It was comfy, I was warm but if you're a wriggler there's a risk of the mattress falling off the bed.

Great value for money

Liked: The hotel is very close to The Gare du Nord which is really convenient when arriving in Paris either very late or having to leave very early in the morning. The hotel staff were all very friendly and helpful. An ideal hotel to use as a base when visiting Paris on business. Plenty of really good restaurants nearby.
Disliked: My room looked a bit tired although the bathroom had been recently undated, the shower was great and the bed was really comfortable. The public areas looked tired.
