Liked: Staff friendly and helpful. The television wasn't working in our room, and the staff member came straight away to rectify the situation. Rooms were clean. I had an early flight on the morning of departure. It is a very convenient location to catch an early flight. Staff catered to our request for rooms close together as we had an elderly family member with us, and we are their carer. It was very much appreciated.
Disliked: Some of the overhead lights and one bedside light weren't working in the room. It wasn't an issue at the time, but maybe the facility needs to check on things like that when rooms are cleaned. We didn't report it at the time as we were only there for an overnight stay.The restaurant kitchen was undergoing refurbishment at the time of our stay, so the restaurant menu was very limited.

Disliked: As someone who works in hospitality I found some bar staff rude. We also weren't made aware of the restrictions during our stay on breakfast and room service before booking.

Liked: Airport location was good for a one-night transit stay.
Disliked: The bed mattress was horrible. Way past its use-by date. The pillow top was collapsed and the mattress had a big sag into the middle. Terrible night's sleep as a result.

Liked: Nothing this time!!! Kushall should be demoted or better yet released from your employ. Night manager on checkins every night is FANTASTIC! He should be promoted.
Disliked: That you illegally had no PA system during a fire alarm at 8am when we arrived at 11:30pm to sleep as our driver revive point from Sunshine Coast to cairns. Then processed to charge me an additional $20 for the privilege of receiving more than 6hrs sleep before we had to do 9x hours more of driving. Refused to heat my medical back heat pack so I could drive without pain for no reason when previous visit everything needed was ok. Kushall should never be unsupervised or around when a circumstance like this occurs. We were told by a random lady not in uniform that the fire alarm that woke us in a panic was a false alarm. Absolutely abysmal service recovery or recognition that customers have been inconvenienced massively. No chance of a refund because he thinks charging someone extra in this circumstance is ok
