Liked: Fairly close to Metro Jean Mace. Easy walk to river. Triple glazed so very quiet. Excellent Boulangerie near Metro for breakfast
Disliked: Ridiculously small toilet - we are quite small people and could only just manage. Nearby places for evening meal are quite limited.

Good value, in a good...

Liked: The location worked well for us. In all honesty, it was luck. Everything we wanted was within walking distsnce (which is our goal) and all turned out well.
Disliked: A bit of language issue with the staff (we are Anglo), but as always it is not so hard to sort out.

Liked: The check-in process was very quick and efficient. and the receptionist was very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was of a decent size, very clean and had a comfortable bed. The room we received faced the main street; therefore, it was a relief to discover that the windows were "doubled" to keep out the noise when closed. The hotel is in close proximity to several bars, cafés, bakeries, pharmacies, supermarkets and restaurants. So one doesn't necessarily have to go to the "tourist" areas to find a decent meal. Although bus stops are close by, the nearest metro station is around 10 minutes away on foot. This said, it worth the effort walk about to discover the surroundings before heading to the Underground to explore the rest of the city with public transportation.
Disliked: The only drawback of the room was that it was not noise-insulated, due to the fact that we could easily hear the guests in the room above us whenever they walked around/talked. The toilet room is in need of a refresh of paint, as the walls were a bit old and yellowed.
