Outstanding hotel. Ibis over the years have improved dramatically and if possible I will be booking Ibis on future trips.

We were refused a bar of chocolate when we got back to hotel. He said they didn't have any. When I pointed to the chocolate clearly in view, I was given a dirty look from the staff member and ignored. Very unpleasant man.

Disliked: Grumpy night staff. Very unhelpful.

The room itself was very nice, clean and comfortable. However we were woken on four different occasions due to guests running up and down and shouting/laughing outside our room. At one point I called reception to complain - this was about 5am. Therefore we were not happy with our stay and unfortunately won't be returning, which is a shame because were go to the Roadmender quite often.

Great Staff, Standard but Clean...

Liked: the room was rather simple but that was expected. I think the highlight of my stay was the staff- everyone was smiley( but naturally) and helpful. In the evening the heating didn't work so I went at reception to ask for the heater, within a few minutes the male staff came to investigate and get me the heater, then another came to sort it out completely. I appreciated they were quick to sort it out while the room was getting warm with the heater. In the morning, Kristina was super helpful the next day when checking out which saved me time and hassle. I don't usually like to stay in hotels but this was a pretty pleasant experience.
Disliked: As I mentioned the rooms are pretty standard so they were clean and the staff was great so you can compromise on that. All was clean and I appreciated the kettle and hot drinks. Breakfast was also pretty standard, with a lot of variety to choose from. One thing I would personally appreciate is a small bottle of spring water with breakfast, I didn't see water there, only juice.
