Exceptional

Liked: It's located in a good area with some good local eateries, a few stores and on Sunday there is a local flea market, you can walk down to the river. The staff were also really nice we went twice on our trip down to Italy once in summer, it was very hot but we had good AC and once In winter, it was cold so we asked staff for a heater and they gave us one which made the room warm. Also there is a bus stop right out front.
Disliked: It's a bit far from the city centre but that's fine, it was more local and there is a bus stop out front to get to the train station and centre

That's definitely not a bad...

Liked: I liked the room itself, it was pretty good. Can't say anything about parking since I didn't use it.
Disliked: The breakfast was insufficient and not tasty. The dishes and cutlery seemed a little bit dirty. And they have some problem regarding Booking/their booking system integration, so it took us 30 mins to check-in: at first they were trying to get the payment for the room (that I already did through Booking months ago), then they made us to pay more for breakfast. Was weird.

Liked: Friendly staff, and an inexpensive room were highlights of this trip. Luckily, I received a recently refurbished room. There are a couple small neighborhood grocery stores nearby.
Disliked: The hotel was refurbishing so they were doing reconstructions on the hotel rooms at multiple floors. The rooms were basic, small, however aircon or fresh air was best achieved by opening the window (no real AC or ventilation otherwise). Most of the other stores of city center are a little while away and takes some public transport or walking. (Luckily public transport is well arranged in Lyon)

Liked: Cheap and cheerful and in a good location.
Disliked: Renovations were underway and noise from workman. However we were warned prior of this .
