Only silver lining is price....

Disliked: Lack professional attitude. Though the elderly staff try to help you , the hotel rules imposed by hotel management sucks. you can not buy water ,except through machine that sells a small bottle of soda water. The hotel being located in deserted location , you donot find any restaurant or super market located closer to hotel to buy water. The nearest shop is 15 minutes walk. For cold Berlin weather , if you are a senior citizen or have mobility issues , this place is not recommended .Only if you go check in in the night and check out in the morning it is okay. Only pricing is only attraction. for 4 nights stay , like I did , it is pretty depressing place. Rooms are neat and clean. House keeping is done once in 4 days , for me. Rule based hotel. Lacks human touch. The hotel main door is locked at 2pm. you need to enter from back door. The distance from front desk and main entrance is 6 feet. Yet, the entrace is kept locked in the middle of the day. You ask why , you will be directed to website for rules. In 1920 German applicable rules being promoted in 21 st century hospitality industry in this place ?. It is a culture shock. The hotel is budget friendly but human unfriendly. A hotel even it is budget , that has close to 100 rooms , have hardly any staff to help guests. If not anything, the hotel should sell good bottle of water ( at least a liter water bottle) payable at reception . Very unfortunate attitude from the hotel management to wards guest comfort. IBIS brand should have reviewed and relook at its franchise policy . It is not all about pricing and marketing and brand positioning that brings customers , it is human touch that makes difference. Agree pricing is aggressive to attract guests. But it can happen once. Repeat customers ? well !
