Great city, very short distance...

Liked: Great location, right just opposite the train station. Trams and buses straight into the city, a laundromat right around the corner and a good restaurant almost right next to the hotel. Option of an ever more cheaper ibis budget or more expensive Mercure all next to one another -think the Accor group really establish themselves here. Be careful as there are other ibis in Bordeaux, we nearly got the the wrong Ibis using Google map.
Disliked: Supposed to be a double bed but somehow it felt smaller than the other double-bed we had slept in while in Europe. We have black mould growing on our bathroom, hate to pick up among the greyish black grout but it came off when we scrub the grout to make sure. Triggered a really bad series of asthma attack.

Disliked: The foyer was very shabby with dirty upholstery on the furniture. Room extremely small. There were no facilities in the room for making tea or coffee and no tissues in the bathroom, no bottled water and only two flimsy cardboard cups.

Liked: Great location if you are taking the train. Easy walk to the city centre. Places to eat close by.
