Liked: Good hotel just by the old town. convenient room, helpful staff, great breakfast. Parking is possible for free until 9AM, then there is a good parking 50 meters away.

Disliked: No sockets near bed.

I slept one short night...

Liked: Not a lot. Bed was comfortable
Disliked: No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Restaurant was closed. I asked for a quiet room based on the fact that Angers was having a city wide party. I was put in a room looking directly onto the main focal point of the party. The music could have been in the room the walls are so thin. Show ended at midnight followed by lots of people shouting in the streets. It was suggested that my dog’s presence might not be appreciated in the restaurant at breakfast time.

Warm and welcoming city, with...

Liked: The location is very good: near the castle, the main city square, the cathedral. It's just across the market (Halles Coeur de Maine), where you can choose from a large variety of dishes prepared in tiny restaurants.The bed was very comfortable.The staff was very kind and helpful.For the welcoming drinks ticket we had 2 coffees at the hotel bar the next morning - it suited us well.
Disliked: The standard room was fairly small.A garbage basket would be necessary in the room itself, not only in the bathroom.Two glasses would be needed in the room. When descending the stairs to the underground public parking, the smell of urine was extreme. Maybe walk a detour and use the main entrance of the parking in rue Plantagenet.
