Great Hotel, perfect location

Liked: Great hotel, located a close 5 minute walk from the Bologna Railway Station and a 10 minute walk into central Bologna. The rooms were spacious and comfortably appointed. We were fortunate to have two rooms with a central entrance/foyer. Perfect for a family. The staff were very professional and helpful, giving plenty of local tips on what to do and see. Breakfast (€16 pp / approx AUD$30) was well worth it, accommodating all tastes including Gluten free options.
Disliked: Nothing, great hotel!

Disappointing stay

Liked: Great location for Bologna centre and airport. Excellent breakfast. Very friendly staff, no problem for leaving luggage to pick up at a later time. Good bathroom and shower.
Disliked: Allocated an interior room on the ground floor so some noise during the night and quite loud early (music as from 07:30 more than audible). On closer inspection,the room hadn't been cleaned as well as it should (found small bits of rubbish). Door had to be pulled really hard to close it properly, so some safety concerns there perhaps, too. But, the worst was the bed which, because of the strange headboard design, was really uncomfortable, resulting in a really poor night's sleep. Definitely felt like we'd been given a leftover room. Maybe we were just unlucky.

Inform guests better

Liked: Excellent location, clean, excellent restaurant
Disliked: Going by car not easy. We specifically called for parking but theirs was full. The road in front is work in progress and the whole porch is fenced (see photo) so not easy. We had to go around twice to goIn and ask and find another parking to walk to the property. We told staff they should inform guests of this clearly - their reaction was matter of factly.Deluxe room 418: blinds don’t close fully (light in the morning) and noise (drilling from works) at 7:15 in the morning.
