Fantastic 5 days in Waikīkī

Liked: A welcoming atmosphere with plenty of activities and facilities
Disliked: Pricing of breakfast

best place for first time...

Liked: location, facilities and super comfortable beds
Disliked: expensive extras like parking but i suspect that’s par for the location

Liked: Buffet breakfast was included in our package and would definately reccomend.

Tired and dusty .... do...

Liked: There is no doubt that the location is good - right in the heart of Waikiki. Great access to beach and the views are amazing. Other than that, gosh this was pretty 'average.'
Disliked: Chaos at check in. Didn't have the right room allocated and was told it would not be ready until 15:00. Didn't phone or text (as they said they would) when room was ready. The two queen room (as opposed to king bed) situation had not been sorted by the prior receptionist, so this then had to be sorted by the next receptionist. Was told she was upgrading us, but it wasn't an upgrade.Room was filthy....really dusty....so clearly 'lies' that the room wasn't ready earlier. Very tired looking room, tiny bathroom. Very limited amenities in room.Pool area was also very tired and the pool was filthy. Very slippy tiles around the pool that must cause lots of people to fall over.Gym was pretty awful too. Not big enough for a resort the size of the Hyatt and had not been updated either.Food and drink we didn't even try as it looked awful and the prices were stupid.It's a shame, I've stayed at other nice Hyatt properties in the past and they have been lovely. This would put me off staying at others.I'd definitely tell people not to stay here.
