Buyer beware, a disgusting hotel...

Liked: The lounge area and restaurant were bright and clean, modern and welcoming. The firepit areas outside the lobby and lounge were a nice area to sit and enjoy a glass of wine or coffee. The golf course was pretty and looked well-maintained..Nice fitness center.
Disliked: Staff at check-in and check-out weren't welcoming, didn't smile or go out of their way to be friendly. The entire hotel was very rundown and dated. Common areas like hallways, elevators and exterior stairwells had .peeling paint and wallpaper, dirty floors and carpets, moulding pulling away from the walls, etcWe were allowed to check-in a half hour early on a Wednesday, given a room overlooking the parking lot. We called the front desk and they said they could move us to a room with a pool view, and the bellman would be straight over to our room with new keys. We stood outside the first room for 30 minutes, nobody came with new keys. My husband went to the front desk and they said the bellman went to the airport! But they didn't bother to call our cell phone and tell us. We finally look all over the property for our new room, in a far building from the lobby, and it was in a subterranean floor. It literally felt like a dungeon and creeped us out. Dingy, dingy, dingy. By this time, we had been traveling all day and were over it. There was no pool view, our room slider door led down a path to a poorly kempt garden pool with a non-operational hot tub. We went to the lounge and ordered a well vodka tonic and a pepsi, and were shocked when it was $32!!!I left a Yelp review, and the management responded similarly to many other reviews like mine, "thank you for sharing your experience." Are you kidding me? What HORRIBLE, unintelligent, and unprofessional customer service. Disgusted at how the Hyatt Regency has sunk so low. Area motels were nicer than this property. Also, be aware that on top of your nightly rate, you will pay a daily resort fee of $35, AND a daily self-parking fee of $20.
