Very good

Liked: The room was spacious, clean, comfortable bed. Also. Staff always willing to help, from the reception to the breakfast. Great location, near to the metro station, Aldgate East is the best option. Few minutes you are in the city center.
Disliked: Something maybe to improve, Deluxe King room - city view, don't expect too much when booking this option. Depending availability, you might ended in a "little city view), so please don't advertise as it is, I booked this option and I was accomodated in a room that had 1 locked window (not possible to open btw), and the view was to a alley facing side of the building, where you don't have better view of the city (such as in the rooftop bar of the hotel). So if it would be the case, all rooms have city view, don't add it additional value to the room because of a possible "view" when it is not.

Liked: Location was good close to Aldgate East tube station.
Disliked: I booked a twin room. Instead I was given one of the rooms fitted out for disabled people with a double bed and a very squeaky sofa bed, which my son had to sleep in and it was not the most comfortable. As soon as we got into the room we realised the sofa bed was not set up right and in fact upon inspection was broken. The hotel was good enough to give us another room but instead of giving us a twin room that I had booked they put us in the same type of room one floor down. My son slept on the sofa bed and every time he moved there was squeaking noises and as a light sleeper it impacted my sleep. The sofa beds in this hotel are poor in quality and not acceptable - I wish I had asked for a refund on the first night and moved to another hotel. I am not one to complain I am always positive as possible on Booking.com but this was not an acceptable experience - it was obvious the hotel had over-booked twin rooms and left us short. I wasted my money on a poor experience.

Bad overall experience

Liked: Clean room and space. Breakfast was a pleasant experience but I was lucky enough to always find a table quickly.
Disliked: I booked with a city view, I wanted to spend a weekend looking at the city while sorting some stuff in the capital. There was no city view. The room was looking to the street, but not to any notable view of the city. I went downstairs and asked for a change. And the view was to the parking lot (attached photo)... I was too tired and embarrassed to ask for a third room.Then I made the mistake of using a debit card in the check in. The checkout repitetely denied returning money and I still have an extra charge of 11 pounds which the desk denied that was due and they said it was ok.
