Hyatt Place Houston Sugar Land, Sugar Land

The Hyatt Place is not near anything. Will do as we always do in the future. Book at the Marriott early. Near restaurants and nice.

Liked: The room.
Disliked: The people working there. Mr. J at the front desk just left without confirming when our room was ready. The other front desk guy had a conscience. Lady at the same desk in the morning was rude.

Not sure I'll be back.

Liked: Nice shower. Comfortable bed. Clean.
Disliked: Completely unimpressed with staff at check-in and check-out. Unfriendly; no personality. Neither seemed like they cared about their job or if I was happy. Also the couch in my room was worn out.

Convenient location set off the main street which made the stay much more pleasant.

Liked: Spacious rooms.
Disliked: Nothing.

Overall, everything was comfortable, except...

Liked: Staff was friendly. The room was clean. Beds were very comfortable
Disliked: Room phone did not work. The people in the room next to us were extremely loud through 3:30 AM. I was unable to contact anybody at the hotel to ask them to quiet down. I know that it was New Year’s Eve and to expect some noise, but it was excessive to the point that we could clearly hear everything going on in that room, even with our earplugs. Not having a working hotel room phone could be bad for safety and the phone number on the phone, which I called from my personal phone rang many times and then said the number was unavailable. It seems to me that phones were shut down, intentionally to avoid people calling about the noise. That is just a suspicion, but when I spoke with the front desk, nothing was offered in the way of how that could’ve been fixed. We were hoping to have a decent night sleep unfortunately that did not happen. When my husband went to get ice at the opposite end of our hallway and on the other floors, he said he didn’t hear any sound coming from any rooms. Our next-door neighbors were obnoxious.

Liked: I asked for a more quite room and did get quickly one. Staff is very friendly. Easy reachable location. Enough parking spots,
Disliked: The breakfast tasted good, but all the dishes and cutlery were made of plastic and cardboard. I find this really disturbing.
