We were very impressed with the set up of the rooms, service, and cleanliness of the hotel. The first night we were put into a room that had a blower going and when we called down to the front desk, they not only moved us to another room, but met us with the new keys. Staff was very apologetic for the mistake. We have had to change rooms before for similar reasons but this was the first time we were met by the staff. We would definitely recommend the Hyatt and look forward to staying there again on our next to trip to Cowtown.
Liked: Courteous, helpful staff; lovely rooms; convenient location.
Disliked: No microwave.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay
Liked: Location couldn’t be better, room was big and clean. Beds were comfortable.
Disliked: Coffee at breakfast was lukewarm and tasteless.

Too expensive!
Liked: The hotel would be absolutely fine if the rate was half the price. Definitely over-priced. Budget hotel but not budget prices. But clean and comfortable.

Average but good location
Liked: Excellent location but rooms are older / tired and very basic amenities for the price we paid. Breakfast is convenient but simple and basic options. Not a lot of fresh fruit or hot options

Disappointing stay despite good location
Liked: The only good thing about this hotel is the location if you’re specifically looking to stay in the Stockyards area.
Disliked: However, for the price we paid, there are definitely better options nearby. The hotel is very old — the rooms, showers, and bathrooms all feel outdated.Customer service was also disappointing. There was one receptionist, Kat (if I remember correctly), who attended to us several times with a noticeably rude and unhelpful attitude. We were a group with four rooms, and when we were trying to understand things like the deposit and parking during check-in, she seemed annoyed by our questions and got visibly nervous. Even though I speak fluent English, her reactions were ironic and passive-aggressive — instead of clearly explaining, she would just pull faces, stay silent, or say “one moment” with a sarcastic expression.There was another receptionist in the afternoon who was much friendlier — we only spoke with her once, but at least she greeted us and smiled, which already made a difference.Overall, for what you’re paying, you expect better quality and, above all, more professional customer service.
