We had high hopes but...

Liked: The reception staff was warm, the decor in the lobby and eating area was nice, and breakfast was good. The beds were comfortable and temperature controls accurate.
Disliked: Our microwave did not function. We reported it to reception who sent up a handyman. The handyman did not actually check the function of the microwave. He came in while DH and I were at lunch and he interacted with our teens who were in the room. He flippantly told our daughter that her dad just didn't know how to use it and tried to show her which buttons to push, as if we hadn't already tried EVERYTHING. When we returned and reported his rudeness to the desk, but they sent him back up to try to rectify the problem. We showed him that we couldn't even boil water for tea. After being reprimanded, he was clearly trying to win back our favor so he brought a new microwave to the room within an hour. He couldn't take the time to mount it, as it was evening, but he left it on the counter. It was very large and took up most of the kitchen island but it worked. The handyman told us to ask the desk for a discount on our room. We did and were told that, since we booked through a third party, we were not able to get a refund or discounted charge. Add all of this to a bathroom that didn't have towel bars to hang anything (they said it was a handicap bathroom but there was no way to wheel a chair through the tiny doorway) and a floor that needed to be vacuumed...We did not leave with a super impression of this place.
