Motel experience at premium hotel...

Liked: The water got hot quickly in the shower. The room was very clean, and the shower products are a lovely quality.
Disliked: I was very confused by our stay - it felt like the Fyre Festival of ‘resorts’. The room pictures listed online are deceptive - they’re like real estate photos where once you walk in, you realise they’ve used very creative angles to make spaces look bigger and more inviting than they actually are.Our room was much smaller than expected at a premium price - the second single bed was a trundle bed set up in front of the door to outside (which collapsed if you ever bumped into it) - a total safety risk with small children. The fridge was so small we could barely fit anything in it.A pizza was $28 and pint was $16.50 + surcharge - you’re paying for the name not the quality of the products.The ‘Farm’ felt like a scene out of Mad Max - dusty paddocks, unkempt paths and rusted out metal everywhere, it was very odd? I want to be able to say good things because it was pushed constantly that this is ‘the last family-owned resort in the Hunter Valley’, but unfortunately, the experience was very underwhelming compared to what I was expecting for a $300+ a night stay. I never spend this much on accomodation, so it was a special treat which just left us feeling let down given the price point and the advertising imagery.

Liked: Everything you need onsite. Restaurant, cellar door and farm.
Disliked: Nothing.

Nice place to stay in...

Liked: Bedroom and bed comfortable; nice setting, decent breakfast
Disliked: Restaurant closing early

Perfect location for my intended...

Liked: Excellent room size. Pleasant outlook. Excellent dining, reasonable prices.
Disliked: Nothing of significance.
