Good NZ motel for overnight...

Liked: Nothing special just good place to stay. We planned to visit old friend near location. Position also permitted us to visit the local historical village of Hiowick.

Enjoyable, easy and close to...

Liked: Was a nice set up. 2 single beds up stairs and a pullout couch and queen bed downstairs. Had a nice little pool and shops are 30 second drive down the road. Supermarket,pizza etc
Disliked: Was fine

You get what you pay...

Liked: Close to everything. Comfortable. You get what you pay for. Good rates for nothing special. Stove available. Great fire escape plan on door clear and precise.
Disliked: Design of room needs configuration. TV in dangerous location when getting out of bed. Shower is works but below par. Needs an upgrade. Room was not soundproof so could hear bathroom above. No smoke detector in room. Compact. Smelt not sure if products used or bathroom from above.

Liked: The location was convenient for us (near family).
Disliked: There was a confusion about the booking but it was sorted in the end and they gave us an upgrade.

Liked: The location. The room / shower below average. See below.
Disliked: The room needs a complete upgrade. Very old style shower with fixed shower head. Only 1 hook to hang a towel from. Dusty behind bedside tables.I left a package in the room when I checked out. Despite my name on the box and my contact details in the reservation details, no one called me. The staff attitude is to wait for a week for the owner to call about the "left behind item". Failing that, they might open it to see what is inside. Very poor customer service. Hardly worth $165 per night
