Location was perfect for the Patriotic Festival. Able to hear the concert from the top of the hotel was nice since this year, the weather was not perfect.

As an African American I felt really bad and disappointed when I arrived one hour early and was told by Rosemary that I had to wait for my room key. But about five white families came behind me and received their keys immediately. So I asked why I couldn't get my room key like the white families. Only then did I receive my room key with no explanation why I had to wait and the others didn't. My room had already been cleaned. It's a shame a black family who paid the same money for a room was made to feel so bad about staying there. The pain, anguish, and disappointment leaves a bitter taste in my mouth and on my heart. I will never stay there again because of the prejudice and ignorance of the staff!

Liked: The price was good and the location was across the street from the ocean.
Disliked: There was no soap or shampoo in the shower. The room smelled of cigarette smoke. The room was next to the elevator and every time someone used it, it woke me up. The rain was extremely loud on either a tin downspout or a tin roof, not sure which. Was difficult to sleep with the loud noise. There was no closet to hang my clothes. Maybe rooms further from the elevator are quieter.
