Hotel was beyond dirty, even blood on hotel entrance carpet; other guests complaining of cockroaches; bedding in a non-smoking room was full of cigarette burns and stains; bath tub was black; drunks and addicts walking around just to name some of the things wrong; now, keep in mind I was there for a child's concert and due to other shows going on I couldn't find a hotel available that weekend as I sure did try. This is not what I saw online in regards to the hotel when I booked it months ago! My suggestion is do not stay there and if you do, don't leave anything of value in the room and wash you belongings as soon as you get home!
Liked: Desk person.
Disliked: Room and hotel.

Liked: Close to the CNE Grounds; lots of restaurants around that you can walk to; convenient and close to shopping.
Disliked: Not much choice at breakfast and nothing hot; parking was a little far away but not bad. They didn't leave enough coffee in the room for two people. The pictures on the internet looked really fancy.

Good Morning: We spent one night at this hotel on Mon. Nov. 7 ... I am unfamiliar with the hotels in Toronto and I was simply looking for something close to the CNE grounds. This hotel was close (approx. 2 km plus) but in a very, very run down district of the city. The main problem was the noise in the room ... it felt like the street-cars were right in the room as the window was not at all sound proof and we were surrounded by this sound til the wee hours of the morning and then again in the early hours of the morning ... we didn't get any sleep at all I think. We didn't complain as we realized that you do get what you pay for, but we will certainly not return. Another negative was that the parking was two blocks away and just up the street was a lot where we could have parked for half the price and half the distance ... outside in a lot, but that would have been ok. We didn't try the breakfast as we decided to go up the street to a well known establishment which turned out to be a fantastic choice with a wonderful home cooked meal to start our day. Found the description of the hotel on the web misleading and was surprised that Howard Johnsons would put their name on such an establishment. Thank you for this opportunity, Jacquie Brown

Disappointing

Disliked: The parking situation is atrocious and the fact that the parking cost is not included in the $160 per night is ridiculous. Both my room and my friends room was dirty. Front desk attendants were useless too.
