We had a great stay at HoJo, Pasadena. We were running the Pasadena half marathon and the hotel provided us with free bottled water, extended breakfast house and extended our checkout. Location is great - walking distance to yummy restaurants. Staff was very friendly.

OK hotel at a reasonable...

Liked: Nice clean hotel at a reasonable rate. There were 2 refrigerators. Nice staff.
Disliked: TV wasn’t working properly: poor reception. Not much of a breakfast: coffee, cereal, bread, juice and Cup of Noodles.

Liked: The room was exactly as the pictures posted online. The staff were so kind and accommodated our request for a bigger room last minute. The check-in was quick and smooth.

Disliked: Got an email from the hotel to precheckin. It goes through four stages and asked me to enter credit cards but it won't go through. After trying it for several times I gave up and did a regular checkin. What a waste of time. A male staff with uniform will open the door even without knocking. We were shocked and his reply was that he thought that the room was empty. He left without any apologies. I saw him later in the restaurant as I was trying to get some coffee. He was asking an Asian male to pick up the stuff obviously the Asian guy dropped with a demanding tone. I don't think that I ever saw any hotel staff asking a guest to pick up something from the floor. The internet was miserable and I had to connect my cell phone data for notebook to get the work done. This was my second time staying and I didn't have any of these issues before. I will probably not come back to this hotel. If I ever come back, it's because I am aging and have a bad memory.
