We had a great stay at HoJo, Pasadena. We were running the Pasadena half marathon and the hotel provided us with free bottled water, extended breakfast house and extended our checkout. Location is great - walking distance to yummy restaurants. Staff was very friendly.

Good convenient short term stay.
Liked: Clean, comfortable bed, nice size room with refrigerator, desk and table.
Disliked: WiFi didn’t work in our room even after multiple attempts. At times, the room key didn’t work and we had to exchange it for a new one.

A good value with caveats
Liked: Location. Free parking. Nice in-room toiletries. Friendly staff.
Disliked: Breakfast starting at 7 am, not 6 am. WiFi that never worked on multiple devices.Cable TV that never worked.Mildewed shower.

WIll not go back because...
Liked: CLean room, good location
Disliked: NO wifi. Signal just did not reach my room #115. Or when it did it took 10 minutes to load a page. Looks like wifi does not work in all rooms.

Survivable for one night....won't book...
Liked: Very convenient location across from Pasadena City College and close to many restaurants and event centers.
Disliked: Quite dated and tired facility. Miserable breakfast choices. In need of paint and repairs in many places.

Mediocre, hate that check-in lady!
Liked: Great location with easy access to many restaurants.
Disliked: Everyone else was great, but the check-in lady (grey hair, glasses) was shockingly rude and unfriendly for absolutely no reason? Her attitude was as if I personally wronged her, despite us meeting for the first time. If dealing with customers is so unbearable for her, maybe it’s time to retire？The fact that people have been complaining about her for years and the hotel still keeps her on staff is beyond comprehension.
