Liked: A pleasant atmosphere, aesthetically appealing (indoor balconies are sharp), clean and comfortable beds. Note, during our stay interior construction was going on. Thank you.
Disliked: The continental breakfast reflected little effort (very small buffet, few choices, I bit into rotten apple, terrible coffee, gas-station type pastries). Also, pool should have had towels at poolside and not depended on customers to bring their own.

Very frustrating and disappointing in...
Liked: The location was very nice. Right in the middle of a business district and next-door to two of my wife's favorite restaurants, the Cracker Barrel and steak place and they were which I don't remember. Also had two or three staff members be really helpful and light of the problems that I had generally with the reservation. We also were ultimately comped the room and that is a plus that they eventually took care of us.
Disliked: When I booked this through Booking.com, I was offered a free upgrade to a suite. I have used Booking.com often so I guess that is why they offered me the upgrade to a suite with a king size bed and sofa and other accoutrements from the standard room with a king size bed. When I got to the hotel, the Howard Johnson's Lima, OH, we got a room with a kingsize bed in a handicap accommodation room. No suite, or maybe that was the booking company's version of a suite. All I know is that I am going to check the reservations from now on very closely before I accept an offer and not assume they just because something was offered to me, that I'll actually get it. It's a lesson learned, that and not using that Booking agency anymore.I insert this here since my phone won't let me add it to the end of my comment: the start was bad. One of the worst I have had but as I point out here and there it could have been a lot worse. Please read on.To make matters worse in the middle of the night, the room above us had their toilet overflow. When I complained earlier about that suite not being given to us I was told that there were no rooms available. At least with the minor flood, they were nice enough to find me a room that didn't have sewage flowing down onto it. (I did find out that the front desk staff gave us a $30 courtesy discount due my problems which is all they were authorized to do -it was still nice of them). One last bonus, in a negative way, was that the hotel was outdated and not extremely well kept(see photo of light covers outside our room that were covered in dirt to the point people wrote in the dust). Still not really pleased with the lie about there being no other rooms upfront though, or the water from the toilet, so I won't be going back to Howard Johnson in Lima Ohio either.
